Greek farmers give away produce in protest
Farmers and market vendors in Greece have handed out free produce as part of a protest at reforms implemented by the Greek government. The farmers planned to distribute about 65 tonnes of fruit and vegetables and 1.5 tonnes of fish, prompting huge crowds and chaotic scenes on the streets of Athens and Thessaloniki. Further strikes and demonstrations are due to take place over the reforms.
