Crown Prince approves Ajman 2021 Vision objectives

Sheikh Ammar bin Humaid Al Nuaimi, Crown Prince of Ajman and chairman of the Executive Council, has approved the first series of objectives under the Ajman 2021 Vision strategy.

The plan includes 21 indices and strategic objectives divided in three key pillars – A Better Place to Live, Excellent Government and Green Economy.

"Today in Ajman, we are witnessing positive outcomes and the results of our significant efforts to achieve the happiness of the emirate’s community," Sheikh Ammar said in comments published by state news agency WAM.

The first part of the plan has four objectives under the Green Economy pillar that Ajman aims to achieve by 2021 and includes developing a sustainable economy.

The emirate aims to receive 800,000 hotel guests, a 64 percent increase, and raise its hotel and hotel apartment occupancy rate to 80 percent.

Under the plan, Ajman also aims to increase the percentage of skilled workers in its labour market to 42 percent by 2021.

In the Better Place to Live pillar, eight objectives had been adopted aimed at improving local infrastructure and public services and protect the environment for future generations.

The emirate also aims to provide a more sustainable community lifestyle, by promoting mass transport and access for 4 million users of public transportation by 2021.

Ajman also aims to process 75 percent of its waste, to ensure sustainable consumption and improve its air quality by 90 percent.
