In a statement last night, the UAE General Civil Aviation Authority (GCAA) denied media claims by Houthis concerning Dubai International Airport, confirming that UAE air traffic is operating as usual.
“Air traffic movement in the UAE is normal with no disruptions; Houthi media claims regarding Dubai International Airport are untrue,” the statement said.
In July this year, the UAE also denied reports that Yemen’s Iran-backed Houthi movement had attacked Abu Dhabi airport with a drone, affirming that operations were unaffected.
“Operations at the airport are business as usual,” UAE officials told Reuters at the time.
