The Second Saudi Forum for the Fourth Industrial Revolution opens on Monday, October 9, in Riyadh, with participation from an elite group of thought leaders and decision-makers from around the world.
It aims to uncover promising opportunities for innovation in the kingdom, highlight its leadership in emerging technologies, and create frameworks that support and stimulate research, development, and innovation.
Advancing industry through Fourth Industrial Revolution
The forum, orgainsed by the Center for the Fourth Industrial Revolution at the King Abdulaziz City for Science and Technology, affiliated with the World Economic Forum, will discuss accelerating the process of transformation and growth in the manufacturing sector in the kingdom, technology and innovation for progress and change, the role of higher education institutions in shaping the future in light of a changing economy, enabling investment and financing for biotechnology innovations and global partnerships in the growing space system in eight separate 8 sessions.
The role of women in innovation, innovative agricultural technologies for global food security, and the role of the Fourth Industrial Revolution in shaping the future of industry and the path to industrial leadership are the other topics to be discussed at the forum.
A memorandum of understanding is also expected to be signed between the center and the Ministry of Transport at the meet.
Saudi Arabia has been unveiling several policies to accelerate investments in scientific and technical activities, besides strengthening the partnership of the public and private sectors around the world to benefit from deep technologies.
The Saudi Center for the Fourth Industrial Revolution works with relevant authorities locally and internationally to enable the technologies of the Fourth Industrial Revolution through industrial transformation and innovation to increase productivity and achieve sustainability, and strive towards digital transformation as part of the goals of Saudi Vision 2030.
