Xerox extends range of DocuColor machines

The vendor attempts to stamp out black & white printing solutions in medium to large enterprises and small print shops with DocuColor 2240 and 1632 multifunctional printers.

Xerox is stepping up its campaign to win customers for its DocuColor multifunctional printing solutions. The vendor is bringing its DocuColor 2240 and 1632 machines to market touting lower costs, faster print speeds and greater image quality, as it attempts to migrate medium to large enterprise companies away from older black & white printing machines.

“The added value of colour is rapidly becoming a necessity and in the current market scenario, the overall quality of the document is as important as the content itself,” says Keith Taylor, regional general manager, Xerox.

“Research has shown that colour can reduce search time by as much as 80%, increase comprehension by 73% and improve brand recognition by up to 80%. Our new products offer easy to use features for copying and printing both colour and black and white. The company today has new offerings that are helping customers to be successful and produce results that help their bottom line,” he adds.

The two new systems share the same easy to use, high-productivity features, with print speeds of 22 colour and 40 black & white pages per minute on the DocuColor 2240 and 16 colour and 32 black & white on the DocuColor 1632.

“In the past producing a colour report or presentation would set you apart, but today's office professionals are so accustomed to colour's added value that it's rapidly becoming a necessity,” comments Ayman Mattar, regional product manager, Xerox.

“The DocuColor 2240 and 1632 will accelerate this trend by providing colour quality and productive print/copy speeds," he adds.
