Motorola has previewed its new MOTOKRZR and MOTORIZR handsets, along with their complementary Bluetooth headsets, the H601 and H800, in the Middle East.
Scheduled for release later this year, the handsets are impressively thin, with the MOTOKRZR more than a centimetre in width less than Motorola’s popular MOTORAZR handset. The MOTOKRZR handset also features a multi-dimensional, metallic gloss finish combined with magnesium, polished chrome and hardened glass.
“With MOTOKRZR and MOTORIZR we’ve achieved a new combination of thin and rich – honouring our commitment to design while adding new form factors and additional features,” said Patrick Mulligan, general manager of Motorola Mobile Devices Business, Middle East, North Africa, Pakistan and Turkey.
The GSM MOTOKRZR features a high-resolution 2.0-megapixel camera, stereo Bluetooth audio, an updated phone directory and new messaging applications.
The handset also offers an integrated music player and expandable memory up to 1GB.
Motorola’s first GSM slider, the MOTORIZR handset diversifies the company’s product line-up. The handset boasts an expansive landscape- style display, 2.0-megapixel camera and programmed point-and-shoot keys. A built-in music player supports a variety of formats.
