Prayers to be held on Monday, following Isha prayers at the Grand Mosque in Makkah
Tributes have poured in following the death of Saudi Arabia’s Prince Bandar bin Abdul Aziz Al-Saud, who passed away on Sunday evening.
Prince Bandar was the elder half-brother of Saudi King Salman and the eldest son of the late King Abdulaziz Al Saud.
The news was confirmed by the Saudi Press Agency on Sunday.
Prayers will be held on Monday, following Isha prayers at the Grand Mosque (Masjid Al-Haram) in the holy city of Makkah.
Among those to have issued condolence statements have been His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi and Deputy Supreme Commander of the UAE Armed Forces and His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai.
Other condolence messages from throughout the UAE have also come from His Highness Sheikh Sultan bin Mohammed Al Qasimi, Ruler of Sharjah, Ras Al Khaimah Ruler Sheikh Saud bin Saqr Al Qasimi, Fujairah Ruler Sheikh Hamad bin Mohammed Al Sharqi, Ajman Ruler Sheikh Humaid bin Rashid Al Nuaimi.
Messages of sympathy were also sent from His Highness the Amir Sheikh Sabah Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah, in Kuwait; HRH Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Crown Prince, Deputy Supreme Commander and First Deputy Prime Minister, Bahrain; and King of Jordan, Abdullah II bin Al-Hussein.
