Oman has announced the first day of Eid Al Adha will be Monday, June 17.
A post by state-run ONA news agency on social media said the month of Dhu Al Hijjah will begin on Saturday.
ONA said: “The first day of Dhul-Hijjah 1445 AH will be this (Saturday). Therefore, the first day of Eid Al Adhah 1445 AH will be on Monday, 17 June 2024, confirms the Moon-sighting Main Committee”.
It means:
- Arafat Day: Dhu Al Hijjah 9, corresponding to Sunday, June 16
- Eid Al Adha 2024: Dhu Al Hijjah 10 to 12, , corresponding to Monday June 17 to Wednesday, June 19
