Here’s how many holidays are left in 2024:
- September 15: Prophet Muhammad’s (PBUH) birthday
- December 2: National Day
- December 3: National Day holiday
Prophet Muhammad’s birthday falls on the 12th of the Islamic month of Rabi’ Al-Awwa and is expected to fall on Sunday, September 15. However, it remains unclear if the private sector would get a holiday.
Aside from this, residents in the UAE can look forward to a four-day holiday in December as the UAE marks its 53rd National Day.
The UAE observes its National Day on December 2, celebrating the country’s nationalisation and the beginning of the Emirates’ unification in 1971.
The UAE’s National Day celebrations use ‘Spirit of the Union’ as their theme, which stems from the late Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan’s leadership. The UAE’s first president established this vision.
