Al Shirawi Interiors has been awarded the contract for the complete interior fit-out of the Cityland Mall, the world’s first natured-inspired shopping destination taking shape in Dubai.
Al Shirawi Interiors will fit-out 450,000 sq ft of space including all entrances, pavilions, hypermarket and washrooms, a statement said.
It added that construction of Cityland Mall is being monitored by Hill International as project managers, with the project scheduled for completion in the fourth quarter of 2018.
The $330 million retail project is the brainchild of Cityland Group, the creator and operator of Dubai Miracle Garden and Dubai Butterfly Garden.
The circular-shaped mall will have over 350 stores spread across 1.2 million sq ft. It will also feature a 200,000 sq ft open-air garden that will serve as the epicentre of the mall in terms of both architecture and its anchoring role.
Fahimuddin Sharfuddin, CEO, Cityland Group, said: “We are pleased to have Al Shirawi Interiors as our partner in completing the interior fit-out of Cityland Mall.”
Ani Chacko, general manager, Al Shirawi Interiors, added: “The interior design of this project features some striking elements, the execution of which requires excellent craftsmanship and superior quality finishes.”
Al Shirawi Interiors said it has executed fit-out work for several retail projects in the past, including Deira City Centre, Ibn Battuta Mall, Bloomingdales and BurJuman Centre.
