Value shopping destination Dubai Outlet Mall has reopened its doors after carrying out a sterilisation and disinfection program in line with government measures.
After nearly three weeks of a 24-hour lockdown, Dubai has allowed retail outlets to reopen with a 30% capacity, and as long as they adhere to social distancing measures.
The mall, therefore, is implementing measures such as temperature checks for all customers staff, 24 hour sanitization of common areas, social distancing policies and signages for visitors and staff to wear masks and gloves.
Entry is restricted for elderly people above 60 years old and children between 3-12 years old, with visitors allowed a maximum of three hours in the shopping mall.
Moreover, elevators are to be used by people with disabilities with social distancing of 2 metres.
Vishal Mahajan, director at the Dubai Outlet Mall, said: “While we acknowledge, respect and appreciate the work done by the front-line workers towards bringing life to normalcy, we at Dubai Outlet Mall are also putting all measures to provide our shoppers a normal routine experience with safety in mind.
“We understand we have an important role towards the health, safety and well-being of our tenants, staff members and customers/visitors. We are working closely as per the guidelines and advise given by international & local authorities to limit the spread. In these testing times, we wish that everyone stays safe and uses this time in the best positive manner in all aspects. We look forward to welcoming everyone to the mall,” he added.
