Dubai-based Majid Al Futtaim Retail launched its first round-the-clock express delivery service for Carrefour customers in Dubai on Wednesday, targeting the emirate’s growing late-night shopping demand.

The service, which promises delivery within 60 minutes, will offer more than 10,000 products at standard hypermarket prices with no additional markup for late-night orders, the company said.

Data shows that over 65 per cent of orders are placed between 10 PM and midnight, and 6 AM and 8 AM, highlighting Dubai’s distinctive shopping patterns.

The service initially launched in Dubai Marina, serving areas including Palm Jumeirah and Emirates Hills, and has expanded to cover central Dubai districts such as Downtown and Business Bay. Further expansion to areas including Mirdif and Arabian Ranches is planned in coming weeks.

“Customers continue to seek out experiences that bring together different aspects of e-commerce while placing a strong favour on convenience,” said Günther Helm, chief executive of Majid Al Futtaim Retail.

Majid Al Futtaim, which holds exclusive rights to operate Carrefour in 13 markets across the Middle East, Africa and Asia, serves approximately 770,000 customers daily through its Carrefour operations.

The service is available exclusively through the Carrefour mobile application, allowing customers to earn and redeem loyalty points on their purchases.
