Fujitsu Siemens is targeting customers with its new scheme, Lifebook4Life, that allows users to exchange their laptops after every three years for free.
Launched in the UK, the LifeBook4Life program will enable buyers of LifeBook laptops from Fujitsu Siemens to get a replacement, which will be the same model as the original they’ve purchased.
Customers must register their notebook within 21 days of purchase and keep their receipt, before the deadline of March 2009. For more information on the LifeBook4Life program, please visit http://www.fujitsu-siemens.co.uk/lifebook4life/
The new program is like a lifetime warranty, which costs ₤40 ($60). Although it’s an inexpensive deal, the laptop might be considered old in three years when compared to newer laptops that might be available at that time. It could even become obsolete after 6 years, but it’s still a good option for lower-income users.
Fujitsu Siemens are yet to comment on the availability of the scheme here in the Middle East.
