Saudi infrastructure solutions outfit Al-Falak Electronics Equipment and Supplies has received an endorsement from networking vendor Alcatel-Lucent for its efforts in developing the market.
The company picked up the ‘Outstanding Regional Business Partner’ of the year award for making a strong contribution to Alcatel-Lucent’s business in the Middle East during the past twelve months.
Al-Falak, which has premium business partner status in the firm’s channel programme, doubled its sales of Alcatel-Lucent equipment last year, according to the vendor.
Hesham El Nahhas, regional director for Alcatel-Lucent Enterprise Solutions, says Al-Falak has played a major role in the development of its IP networking business in the region and scored a number of key customer victories with corporate clients such as PetroRabigh and Khurais.
“Al-Falak’s consistency and professionalism have certainly been huge factors in helping Alcatel-Lucent consolidate its presence in the region and deliver its promise of becoming a trusted local partner with a global reach,” commented El Nahhas.
The accolade comes at a crucial point in Al-Falak’s development following its recent acquisition of Saudi distribution house MSO.
“This award reinforces Al-Falak’s commitment to help our business partners optimise their performance in key markets through our extensive regional network,” said Ahmed Ali Ashadawi, president and CEO at Al-Falak.
“It will also further consolidate our position as a leading system integrator in the region,” he added.
Al-Falak remains one of the most established integrators in the Gulf market. Its tie-up with MSO is designed to give it additional scale as it looks to fend off market competition. The Khobar-based outfit also recently admitted it is in the final stages of talks to take over a server maintenance and software company.
