Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Crown Prince of Dubai has announced the Global Prompt Engineering Championship, set to take place in May 2024 at the Museum of the Future, the championship aims to attract minds from around the world to drive advancements in prompt engineering.
This aims to be “the biggest global challenge for developers of generative AI innovative solutions.” Projects will be evaluated on the basis of speed, quality and accuracy under the categories of literature, art and coding.
With a total prize pool of AED1 million, this championship represents the largest challenge of its kind in leveraging the power of Generative AI.

The championship aligns with Dubai’s vision to become a destination for top talent and a platform for Generative AI startups. “The Global Prompt Engineering Championship is aligned with Dubai’s efforts to become a destination for leading talent and a platform for Generative AI startups. Empowering content creation with Generative AI
The objective of the challenge is to enhance the efficiency and positive impact of content creation across various domains using Generative AI tools such as ChatGPT, Midjourney, and other innovative applications. It aims to reshape the global advanced technology landscape by promoting the development of prompt engineering skills.
The championship seeks to attract talented individuals from around the world, including AI experts, content creators, researchers, startups, and entrepreneurs involved in Generative AI and digital solutions.
It provides an opportunity to further develop ideas and innovations, contributing to various fields such as programming, healthcare, legislation, arts, music, and content development.
The championship will span two days, with the first day dedicated to selecting the top 30 prompt engineering programmers who will proceed to the final phase on the second day.
