Flydubai to offer passengers ‘more flexibility’ ahead of flights resuming

Flydubai will restart scheduled flights from July 7

Flydubai to offer passengers 'more flexibility' ahead of flights resuming

Flights are currently available to book on Flydubai’s website, with services set to resume on July 7.

Dubai-based low-cost carrier has unveiled a new ‘passenger partnership’ that includes offering more flexibility when it comes to travel arrangements.

Earlier in June, Flydubai announced that it will resume scheduled commercial operations from July 7, initially to 24 destinations. The number of destinations is expected to increase to 66 over the course of the summer.

Flydubai said it will offer passengers “the flexibility to make a change to the date of travel, rebook to another flight or destination without any penalties. Any differences in fare may apply and tickets are subject to Flydubai’s terms and conditions”.

Flydubai has also introduced a number of safety measures, such as limited hand baggage to a handbag or small laptop bag under 7 kg, and redesigning inflight service to minimise crew and passenger contact.

“In these unprecedented times, we are very conscious of the role that we play as part of the global community in response to Covid-19,” Ghaith Al Ghaith, CEO of Flydubai said. “We have carefully reviewed the guidance and best practice published by a number of international organisations together with those of our regulator and our industry partners.

“We have further built on these which has resulted in a layering of measures by the authorities, the airport and Flydubai. To realise the benefits of air travel is everyone’s responsibility,” he added. “We recognise the importance of the role of the passenger in making these measures work. Together we have redefined a new way to travel which creates a partnership. It’s what we do together that will make this work.”
