Etihad Rail has announced journey times for UAE passenger train journeys, including the much-anticipated Abu Dhabi to Dubai route.
The journey times were unveiled following the Global Rail Transport Infrastructure Exhibition and Conference and include 57 minutes from Abu Dhabi to Dubai and just 105 minutes from Abu Dhabi to Fujairah.
The UAE’s national railway network, which is being developed and extends over 900km, is being implemented in line with top global standards to guarantee competitive passenger transport services in the future.
Etihad Rail UAE train journeys will connect Dubai and Abu Dhabi
Railway passenger transport services will link 11 cities and regions across the country from Al Sila to Fujairah, including Al Ruwais, Al Mirfa, Fujairah, Sharjah, Al Dhaid, Abu Dhabi and Dubai. Etihad Rail has unveiled the journey times for its passenger trains, once operational across the UAE. They include:
- Abu Dhabi to Dubai: 57 minutes
- Abu Dhabi to Al Ruwais: 70 minutes
- Abu Dhabi to Fujairah: 105 minutes
The transport company said: “This marks the beginning of a transformative era in travel and mobility across the nation”.
