Dubai’s RTA has announced the opening of a major new flyover, connecting Ras Al Khor and Nad Al Hamar. The two-lane flyover is 988 metres and ramps up the road capacity to 30,000 vehicles, per hour.
The flyover has opened as part of Phase II of the Sheikh Rashid bin Saeed Corridor Improvement Project.
Mattar Al Tayer, director general and chairman of the board of executive directors said, “Sheikh Rashid bin Saeed Corridor Improvement Project is one of the strategic road projects that aim to enhance the efficiency of Dubai’s infrastructure”.
Phase I of the project had begun last year and has been completed.
