Pullman, Accor’s upscale brand, has announced the opening of the 317-room Pullman Dubai Deira City Centre.
The launch is part of the European hotel group’s plan to operate a total of 15 Pullman hotels in the GCC region by 2020.
The operator currently runs four Pullman hotels in the Middle East and will add two more by 2015, the company said in a statement.
The 354-room Pullman Dubai Jumeirah Lakes Towers will open this year and the 468-room Pullman Doha West Bay will open in 2015, it added.
The Deira property, which has four restaurants and bars, will have an entire floor dedicated to meetings and events with nine totally renovated meeting rooms once the work is completed in October.
“Adding Pullman Dubai Deira City Centre to our global properties is a milestone for us,” said Yann Caillère, president and chief operating officer, Accor.
“We have huge ambitions for this brand which offers a strong and differentiated proposal to customers and owners. The Middle East’s strong travel and tourism outlook matches Accor’s development goals of managing 150 Pullman hotels worldwide by 2015-2020.”
Pullman Dubai Deira City Centre is located in the Deira district, connected to one of the city’s largest malls.
Christophe Landais, managing director, Accor Middle East, added: “We are committed to further strengthen our position in the region and the Pullman Dubai Deira City Centre will undoubtedly be the choice hotel for business and leisure travellers.
“We currently operate four Pullman hotels in the Middle East, and will add two more – the 354-room Pullman Dubai Jumeirah Lakes Towers which will open this year and the 468-room Pullman Doha West Bay which will open in 2015.”
