Shanghai-based Dragonfly Therapeutic Retreat has opened its first day spa in the Middle East at the BurJuman Mall in Dubai.
Situated above the Fitness First health club, Dragonfly@Burjuman consists of 10 treatment rooms; six for ladies and six for men.
It also features a relaxing tea room, two Tatami rooms, in which massage is conducted on a traditional Tatami mat, and a VIP Crystal Suite, which features two four poster beds.
The spa aims to replicate Dragonfly’s traditional Chinese offer, with many of the fixtures, fittings and accessories coming direct from China.
Dragonfly spa manager Adele Duncan said: “Dragonfly is a contemporary urban retreat that offers customers a new relaxation lifestyle experience. It has a cosy boutique style and it is an affordable retreat so customers can visit on a regular basis, whatever suits their lifestyle best.
“Dragonfly sees clients utilising its services on a regular basis so is introducing three different membership packages which allow for a number of free treatments per month and thereafter a discounted rate on any additional treatments,” she added.
“We believe that this payment plan will suit the needs of the local market and allow people to access our treatments on a regular basis, therefore incorporating pure relaxation into their lifestyle,” explained Duncan.
