Four Seasons to open first Dubai hotel in 2014

Property on emirate’s Jumeirah Beach Road in partnership with Dubai-based Bright Star

Hotel brand Four Seasons has signed a deal with Dubai-based Bright Start to launch its first property in the emirate.

The 237-room Four Seasons Jumeirah Beach Resort, located on the city’s Jumeirah Beach Road, is expected to open in mid-2014, the Canada-based operator announced today.

Bright Start is developing the new resort and has appointed H&H Investment and Development as the development manager.

The property will be situated on an 11 acre natural waterfront site along the Gulf. It has been designed by architect WATG, with interior design by San Fransisco-based BAMO.

According to Four Seasons Hotels and Resorts CEO Kathleen Taylor, the resort will target a mix of leisure and business guests, as well as incentive groups.

“Being the Middle East’s biggest tourism hub with a highly mature hospitality industry, it was important for us to be in Dubai with a strong product that can serve as one of the company flagships in this region,” said Taylor.

“We are confident that we not only have an unparalleled location, but also an excellent development partner,” she added.

Located at the northern end of Jumeirah Beach Road, the resort will include access to a 270m stretch of of beach.

The property features 49 suites, three restaurants, function spaces with beachfront access, and a 600 sq m ballroom and five meeting rooms. The hotel will also include a spa, indoor and outdoor pools, tennis courts and a private beach club.

Four Seasons Resort Dubai at Jumeirah Beach will be the Toronto-based company’s latest addition to its development pipeline in the GCC, which includes the Four Seasons Hotel Abu Dhabi Sowwah, Four Seasons Resort Oman, Four Seasons Hotel Bahrain Bay, Four Seasons Hotel Doha at The Pearl and Four Seasons Hotel Jeddah.
