Golden Tulip names new upscale brand

Golden Tulip Hospitality has launched a new international luxury brand to meet the demands of international upscale travellers.

The new luxury hotel brand, The Royal Tulip, will be introduced into the Middle East with properties planned for Oman and Morocco.

The Royal Tulip line extends Golden Tulip’s portfolio to a total of four brands across the three- to five-star hotel categories.

These include Royal Tulip in the five-star category; Golden Tulip Hotels and Resorts in the four-star leisure destinations category, and Tulip Inns in the three-star category.

“More frequently we were approached by developers and hoteliers, asking why we would not launch a luxury hotel brand alongside our Golden Tulip and Tulip Inn brands,” said Hans Kennedie, president and CEO of Golden Tulip Hospitality Group.

“We studied the impact it would have on both the positioning of our existing brands.

From this, it appeared desirable to launch this initiative.

We are expecting to develop some 40 hotels in the next four to five years.”

According to Golden Tulip the Royal Tulip hotels will offer variety of restaurants, cafes and bars; sophisticated business and leisure facilities; modern fitness centres and around-the-clock travel services.

Golden Tulip anticipates that its new luxury brand will continue to grow with the opening of new-build hotels in gateway cities worldwide, under the Royal Tulip banner.
