Marn is also expected to enter into a similar agreement with the Hilton Group for its operations in Saudi Arabia

International hospitality major Ritz-Carlton struck a strategic partnership deal with Saudi-based job market startup Marn for sourcing employees.

The hospitality major will be hiring staff for flexible jobs through the Saudi venture for its operations in Riyadh and Jeddah.

Marn is also expected to enter into a similar agreement with the Hilton Group for its operations in Saudi Arabia.

The partnership move assumes significance as it comes amidst a major expansion in the hospitality sector in Saudi Arabia, including the Red Sea and the futuristic NEOM development projects, which is expected to lead to a surge in employee demand in the country.

Confirming the partnership deal with the Ritz-Carlton, Mohammed Al-Sabeeh, founder and chief executive officer of Marn, told Arabian Business that the tie-up was a significant proof that the venture’s services and products are growing and evolving to fulfill different segment needs and requirements.

“The perfect match between Marn’s efficient staffing solutions and The Ritz-Carlton’s selective need for capable workers makes us excited to be part of the mission of making hotel staffing, evaluation, and management easier and efficient, with the main focus being on shortening recruitment timelines,” Al-Sabeeh said.

He said the collaboration would also provide more opportunities to skilled Saudi workers in the hospitality industry and increase its participation in the employment market.

Ritz-Carlton General Manager Mohammed Marghalani said he was optimistic that the strategic partnership with Marn would pave the way for Saudi youth to work and gain skills in the hospitality and tourism sectors.

The Marn co-founder said such an agreement will be extended to the Hilton Group in Saudi Arabia also to help the group to overcome the seasonality challenges and decrease the turnover rate.

Marn, founded in 2018, is the first Saudi flexible work provider startup, aimed to empower businesses with needed tools to hire and manage hourly workers.

The venture’s platform offers easy and flexible recruitment and employee management solutions to companies across sectors by minimising the time to hire using advanced filtering, screening and matching technologies using ML (machine learning) algorithms and big data.

For corporate biggies, hiring flexible employees through the Marn platform helps them to scale up operations faster with quick recruitment, and at the same time save big on their employee-related costs without compromising on quality and efficiency.

Besides, the startup helps companies in sectors such as retail, tourism, hospitality and FMCG to manage hiring of temporary staff for meeting high seasonal requirements.

The Saudi startup, which states its mission is to change workforce dynamics in the MENA region, is said to have served over 200 companies in different sectors.

The company said it has more than 300,000 qualified workers registered on its platform.
