Ferrari has unveiled its first ever four-door, four-seater, the Purosangue, in Dubai.
The car first debuted the Purosangue in Italy last month and it has already made its way to Dubai, underlining the importance of the Middle East to Ferrari’s global sales programme.
The Purosangue, named for the Italian word for a thoroughbred, is the Prancing Horse’s first four-seater car in its 75-year history.
Ferrari move to four-door market
The launch saw Giorgio Turri, General Manager of Ferrari Middle East, Dieter Knechtel, President Far East & Middle East and Emanuele Carando, Global Head of Product Marketing at Ferrari, unveiling the ground-breaking model.
The Purosangue later headed to Yas Marina Circuit, Abu Dhabi, for special viewings at the first race of the Passione Ferrari Club Challenge Middle East 2022/2023 season.
The car is powered by a 6.5-liter, 715-horsepower V-12 engine.
The manufacturer refuses to call it a SUV, insisting it is a sports car, designed from the ground up in true Prancing Horse tradition. The engine is mounted behind the front axle, rather than over it as with most SUVs and crossovers.
The Purosangue was first seen in Italy, and has a reported price of AED1.7m making it the Italian carmaker’s second most expensive production model behind the SF90 hybrid sports car.
