A UAE-inspired mega-yacht was designed as the flagship craft of the country, says Italian boat designer Enzo Manca.

The Milan-based boat designer said the 140m long concept ship was created with the nation in mind and has christened it the UAE One.

Although the yacht is currently only in the planning stage, Manca says a sheikh in the United Arab Emirates helped to design the boat.

“The idea of UAE One was born in 2020, during a very special meeting between me and a sheikh of the United Arab Emirates on vacation in Italy,” Manca is quoted as saying.

“The sheikh was very clear and categorical, he wanted something really special and unique.”

The concept is a stunning yacht complete with luxury touches.

It will have 35 cabins for crew, five super-suites, eight master cabins and three meeting rooms. The vast size is based on US aircraft carriers, but a finish is more akin to a luxury yacht.

Manca said: “This very particular project is inspired by the large US aircraft carriers. A work that lasted almost two years, including the study of the bow lines, the upper deck, the tower, and how it could become from a military ship to a private yacht.”

Technical specifications shared on the designer’s website reveal the UAE One could have:

  • 9 decks
  • 35 Cabins for about 65 crew
  • 14 Mini apartments
  • 5 Super suites
  • 8 Master cabins
  • 3 Meeting rooms
  • 1 Press area
  • 2 heliports and 1 helicopter hangar
  • 1 internal mini-port, containing a submarine
  • More than 2,800sq m of teak and open-air space
  • 18m swimming pool
  • Gym
  • Wellness centre
  • Spa

The bow of the UAE One concept has a circular sofa with a central fireplace.

Very much still a concept, Manca revealed interior designs and renders would be published later in the year.

Speaking to The Sun website, Manca said the build and sale of the concept yacht would give it a $543m price tag.
