Cristiano Ronaldo was gifted a stunning $119,000 Jacob & Co. watch at the opening of a new jewellery store in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia.
The Al Nassr forward was given the remarkable Heart of Ronaldo timepiece, which carries his image and is a limited edition from the luxury watch manufacturer, at the brand’s launch event.
The first Jacob & Co boutique in the Kingdom is the brand’s largest own-name store and is located on Olaya Street, the Saudi capital’s most prestigious high street.
Ronaldo given luxury watch
Ronaldo was on hand to see the collection that carries his name and shared details and images of the watch with his 582m Instagram followers.
In a paid promotion he showed off the items from the jewellers’ CR7 collection of watches, which range from $29,000 to $148,000.
The Jacob & Co Heart of CR7 Baguette watch is limited to just 499 timepieces and has 26 baguette-cut white diamonds in the bezel.
Images of the player celebrating are embedded in rose gold.
The former Real Madrid player said in his post on social media: “Excited to visit the new @jacobandco boutique in Riyad, Saudi Arabia! Thank you @jacobarabo for the warm welcome.”
For its part Jacob & Co. said: “Brand partner and friend Cristiano Ronaldo made an appearance at the Jacob & Co.’s Riyadh boutique inauguration on May 5th.
“The star striker of the Al Nassr football team was wearing the Jacob & Co. watch that bears his name and carries his image, the Jacob & Co x CR7 Epic X Heart of CR7.”
It is not the first time he has been seen wearing an exclusive jewel-laden watch.
Ronaldo was given the $780,000 Jacob and Co watch to celebrate his move to Saudi Arabia.
Designed to match the colours of Saudi Arabia’s flag, the dark green watch does not get its distinctive shade from emeralds, as may be expected.
It has 338 rare gemstones embedded in the watch face, including the distinctive tsavorite stones.
