Ronaldo given $780,000 Saudi-themed watch

The football icon was snapped on a private jet flying out to Saudi Arabia and seen wearing a striking watch.

New details have emerged about the stunning watch and they are just as staggering as his football contract.

Ronaldo was given the $780,000 Jacob and Co watch to celebrate his move to Saudi Arabia. 

Designed to match the colours of Saudi Arabia’s flag, the dark green watch does not get its distinctive shade from emeralds, as may be expected.

It has 338 rare gemstones embedded in the watch face, including the distinctive tsavorite stones.

Tsavorite is said to be 200 times more rare – and therefore valuable – than emerald and is what gives Ronaldo’s Saudi-themed watch its distinctive sparkle

Jacob and Co lists the Caviar Tourbillon Tsavorites watch on its website, saying the timepiece has 388 baguette-cut tsavorites, which can take up to three years to find and apply.

It also has diamonds, white gold and an alligator leather strap.
