Cristiano Ronaldo will be officially unveiled by Saudi Arabia’s Al Nassr when he steps onto the Mrsool Park pitch in front of tens of thousands of fans on Tuesday.
Ronaldo has signed a $214m per year in a contract that will run until June 2025 and will be paraded in front of fans in Riyadh at 7pm local time.
After putting pen to paper on the Al Nassr deal Ronaldo will be the highest-paid ever professional footballer and his contract includes off-field promotional activity as well as playing arrangements.
Ronaldo to meet Saudi fans
Al Nassr are the Saudi Pro League’s current leaders and are managed by French coach Rudi Garcia.
Ronaldo is expected to arrive at Riyadh’s King Khalid International Airport on Tuesday, January 2 before undergoing a medical examination.
At the official unveiling Ronaldo will be revealed to the club’s supporters and wear the Al Nassr kit for the first time.
Cristiano Ronaldo will be accompanied by his family who now call the Saudi capital Riyadh their new home.
Ticket details for the unveiling of Portugal star have yet to be released, but it is sure to capture the attention of the global sporting press.

The football icon left Man Utd in November, releasing a statement saying: “Following talks with Manchester United, we’ve mutually agreed to end our contract. Manchester United, in turn, issued a statement saying: “The club thanks him for his immense contribution across two spells at Old Trafford”.
They wished “him and his family well for the future” and added “everyone at Manchester United remains focused on continuing the team’s progress under Erik ten Hag and working together to deliver success on the pitch”.
