Formula 1 Etihad Airways Abu Dhabi Grand Prix 2022 is set to take place in the Yas Marina Circuit, Abu Dhabi, in November. As teams head to Abu Dhabi for the final leg of the race, after competing all over the world, this season, the organisers have confirmed that all Grandstand and Abu Dhabi Hill tickets have been sold out.
Organisers stated that this year faced unprecedented demand after last year’s successful Abu Dhabi Grand Prix. Fans from across the world are expected to attend the event, as tickets sold out over two months before the event.
Last year’s race grew in popularity after Red Bull’s Max Verstappen won the world championship for the first time, taking the title away from seven time world champion Lewis Hamilton.
“It is with immense pride to announce today that all Grandstand and Abu Dhabi Hill tickets for this year’s Formula 1 Etihad Airways Abu Dhabi Grand Prix have officially sold out, and it is a true testament to the passion that Formula 1 fans feel for this global event.” said Saif Al Noaimi, CEO of Abu Dhabi Motorsports Management.
“To cater for the unprecedented demand for this year’s race, we added a brand-new stand along our incredible North Straight section, which has additionally sold out at a record pace,” he added.
In response to this, the company is taking steps to launch ticket sales earlier for next year’s event. Hospitality packages for this year is the only category available for sale, with prices starting at AED8,990.
Organisers have already confirmed two artists for the after-race concert, Swedish House Mafia and Kendrick Lamar, for which tickets are also in high demand.
