Tissot reveals Le Locle Regulateur timepiece

A tribute to watchmaking traditions

Swiss watchmaker Tissot has revealed the latest addition to its renowned Le Locle watch collection.

Named after the home of Tissot’s founder in the Swiss Jura Mountains, the watch is inspired by “Regulateur” clocks used in the 18th and 19th centuries as a reference to check the accuracy of pocket watches.

Watches were not as accurate at the time, with some varying in minutes. So as a tribute to the importance of the minute, Tissot designed its Regulateur’s minutes hand in a larger-than-standard manner.

According to the brand, this gives it a “distinct style destined for the more mature and debonair that are looking for more than just a watch but a piece of history and art.”

The timepiece, which features a leather strap, is available in several models comprising of steel, yellow or rose gold, and classic black.
