Last week, Ajman announced the temporary closure of wedding venues, fitness clubs, cinemas and theme parks as part of precautionary measures to mitigate the spread of coronavirus.

Shopping malls have also installed thermal surveillance equipment to monitor the temperatures of visitors.

On Saturday, the UAE’s Ministry of Health and Prevention (MoHAP) announced the first two deaths caused by Covid-19 in the country.

There are currently 153 confirmed cases in the UAE.
