Academy to focus on employment

The forthcoming StartUp Academy will tackle the legalities of hiring, and how to engage your employees

The latest in the Arabian Business StartUp Academy series takes place on Monday, 22 September, with a workshop based around employment.

Two expert speakers will discuss the issues of hiring legally, and employee engagement – two topics which business owners across the board must be fully aware of.

The breakfast event, held in partnership with Mashreq, will take place at the Address Downtown Dubai Hotel and will welcome founder and partner of HPL Yamalova & Plewka JLT, Ludmila Yamalova, and founder of EngageME, Brett Smyth to the podium.

Yamalova will discuss employment and hiring from a legal perspective, guiding you through the UAE’s labour laws and offering practical information and advice to help you put together your workforce without running into difficulties.

Tackling employee engagement, Smyth will explain why an engaged team is so important to success and how you can create it within your organisation.

Admission to this Academy is now closed, but the next event is scheduled to take place on Monday, 20 October, looking at how to better understand your customer.
