AD Ports Group announced the signing of a 10-year lease agreement with TW Steel, a provider of prefabricated structures, to deliver innovative containerised fabrication solutions, container maintenance and repair services at Khalifa Port.
The new facility will cater to the tailored needs of shipping lines and container operators at Khalifa Port.
TW Steel’s solutions and services are expected to further widen Khalifa Port’s offering and value proposition, expanding the port’s operational efficiency.
In addition to container fabrication and modification services, TW Steel will offer structural and flooring repairs, painting and coating, door and seal repairs, cleaning and sanitisation, inspection and certification and refrigeration unit maintenance.
Saif Al Mazrouei, Chief Executive Officer – Ports Cluster, AD Ports Group, said the zone developer is delighted to collaborate with TW Steel to provide customers at Khalifa Port with unique and innovative container fabrication and maintenance solutions.
Fakher Darwish, General Manager of TW Steel, said that through its state-of-the-art modular technology, the company will deliver high-quality, energy-efficient solutions that enhance operational efficiency and significantly reduce environmental impact.
The agreement is part of AD Port Group’s ongoing initiatives to enhance the facilities and services at Khalifa Port, which has established itself as a major logistics hub in the region.
