Al Fattan Properties has received permission to build a 53-storey tower at Dubai Marina. Construction Week revealed in August that towers beyond the 30 and 40-storeys mark and up to 60-storeys were becoming a reality and would be announced soon.
Al Fattan Marine Towers is a freehold residential property at Dubai Marina, which is scheduled for completion in September 2005. The quarter-of-a-kilometre high residential tower with 229 apartments has been designed by Norr Consultants, which has given it a V-shaped design to maximise ocean views for the residents and a sky garden concept that would set it apart from the rest of the properties in the area.

The project features 47 floors of residential accommodation and contains a total of 229 apartments, of which 172 are three-bedroom units plus 53 two-bedroom units and three duplexes with 3 and 4 bedrooms and a spacious penthouse. The upper podium has been reserved for a health club and other recreational facilities. Al Fattan Properties has been in the property industry for the past 30 years and is involved with UAE projects such as the Oasis Beach Hotel and Al Fattan Plaza.
Al Fattan Marine Towers’ landscape incorporates a sky garden concept designed to simulate an external landscaped environment using natural materials such as stone, timber and bamboo. Specialist glazing has been used throughout the towers, which is controlled by a centralised building energy management system.
