The Al Salam International Hospital in Kuwait has chosen Cisco’s Medical Grade Network solution as the foundation of its IT infrastructure. The project was implemented by Universe Computers. The solution is designed to provide an end-to-end foundation for the delivery of high-quality health care services in the region.
The Medical Grade Network, implemented at the hospital is a suite of products, services and supporting materials aimed at offering healthcare providers an end-to-end foundation for the delivery of high-quality medical care.
The network uses high bandwidth core routing and switching infrastructure, plus key supporting technologies such as integrated security, wireless, storage networking, and Internet protocol (IP) communications to create a highly secure and responsive environment for patient data, medical history and key hospital applications. The network is designed to monitor, defend and repair, as well as providing 24- hour uptime, throughout the year.
