NEC’s Saudi Arabian authorised reseller, Computer Castle, has won two major government tenders worth more than $200,000 each.The deal comprises 225 ML4 and ML5 PCs, as well as 20 XL53 servers for the Saudi government. “These enormous successes are the latest of many such win stories that NEC has enjoyed in the kingdom of Saudi Arabia since it entered the market in late 2001,” said Lenia Iacovides, CEO of interFRONTIERS, the regional business development unit for NEC Computers International in the Middle East, Mediterranean, Adriatic and Africa regions.Iacovides added: “we contribute this largely to the dedication and the commitment of NEC to the region, in appointing carefully selected representatives, such as Computer Castle, which have vast experience and knowledge in their prospective regions.”In addition, Computer Castle has also won a major tender to deliver a large quantity of NEC desktops to the Ministry of Defence and Aviation. This award is part of a three-phase project by the Ministry and Dr. Khalid Mohidin, vice president and CEO of Computer Castle, is delighted with the award. He said: “Clearly, this important win has put NEC products in a commanding position for the next two phases.”
