Netgear has announced that its RangeMax NEXT Wireless-N routers have become the first wireless networking products in the industry to ship with Intel’s ‘connect with Centrino’ certification.
The branded networking products provider’s routers (WNR834B and WNR854T) have successfully passed the certification process ensuring compatibility and interoperability with Intel Next-Gen Wireless-N.
The routers, which have been tested and verified to work together with Intel(R) Next-Gen wireless N, were subjected to extensive real-world tests by Intel over the course of several months in enterprise environments.
“As Netgear always strives to develop the most innovative products on the market, we are proud to be the first networking vendor to achieve the new ‘connect with Centrino’ certification,” said Ahmad Zeidan, channel sales manager at Netgear Middle East.
“This delivers a strong, irrefutable message to our customers in regards to the performance, interoperability and compatibility of our RangeMax NEXT Wireless-N product family.
“During the certification process, the RangeMax NEXT Wireless-N Routers were not only tested for compatibility with Intel(R) Next-Gen Wireless-N, but were evaluated for performance, extended range and the ability to eliminate Wi-Fi dead spots.
Samir Al-Shamma, GM Gulf countries at Intel added: “Intel established the ‘connect with Centrino’ programme to ensure that users of Centrino mobile technology receive superior rate, range, and robustness in their wireless network.”
