Sony Ericsson brings Arabic downloads to UAE mobiles

Sony Ericsson has launched its mobile handset-based PlayNow music download service to the UAE, through its partnership with Arabic music producer Rotana.

Sony Ericsson has launched its mobile handset-based PlayNow music download service to the UAE, through its partnership with Arabic music producer Rotana.

This offer means users of PlayNow-ready Sony Ericsson mobile phones can now access a variety of real music downloads and digital ringtones.

“Sony Ericsson’s PlayNow is a unique direct-link quality music download application which turns an essential communication tool into a stylish means of self expression and entertainment by a simple click of a button,” said Husni El-Assi, the general manager of Sony Ericsson Middle East and North Africa. “This easy-to-use service helps you download from a range of the top 10 Rotana songs which are now available to all Sony Ericsson customers,” he added.

PlayNow is available to owners of the following Sony Ericsson phone models: K500i, K700i, K750i, S700i, W550i, W800i, W900i, Z520i, K510i, W300i, W700i and Z530i.

To use the PlayNow service, users must have subscribed to the relevant operator’s GPRS (internet) service. Thereafter high quality music is just three button clicks away:

Click 1 – select the PlayNow icon on the phone menu; Click 2 -access the server and online music; and Click 3 – choose your song to listen. If you then like what you hear you can download the song. Tracks are added to a phone’s ‘My Sounds’ folder and billed to the user’s account.
