The Abu Dhabi Integrated Transport Centre (ITC) Department of Municipalities and Transport, on Wednesday, announced free parking for Eid Al Fitr 2023.
The Mawaqif parking fees will be waived for a period of four-days, starting April 20 until April 23.
The Musaffah M-18 truck parking lot will also be free of charge during the Eid Al Fitr long weekend.
Additionally, the Darb toll gate system will be free starting Thursday until the end of the holidays. Following the Eid break, tolls will be reactivated during peak hours.
During the Ramadan period, Abu Dhabi Police issued a warning to motorists against parking in front of mosques during Ramadan.
Parking on the sidewalk is also prohibited. Drivers are urged to avoid stopping halfway, blocking entrances, and pedestrian crossings.
“Don’t waste other people’s time and block their movement by stopping behind their vehicles,” the video explained.
