Money Kicks Rashed Belhasa Londan Kidnap

UAE social media superstar Rashed Belhasa has escaped from a dramatic attempt to kidnap him during a visit to London.

In a video posted on YouTube, the 20 year old – with over 2 million followers on Instagram, said when he reached London, “We got a call saying Rashed has $2 million on my head, ransom, to kidnap me. I was so confused.”

Belhasa reveals he continued with the promotional visit, but two days later let his guard down. “One day I made a mistake, we were in a restaurant, and I posted a picture of the location. It was two days after the situation, it was late night, 12 of us were there. After 10 minutes I see people taking pictures and we are leaving, we are standing outdoors.

Three people came with masks. One guy said “oh rich kid of Dubai…. Welcome to London.”

He added: “I said to my friend “They came for me.” Everyone said no they are fans. But they (security team) put me in the van – but these guys tried to block me they had 2 cars. We blocked one and we left.”

Looking back at the experience, Belhasa said: “There’s a lot of robberies happening there, and people think I’m from Dubai, the richest kids, I understand the streets a bit…People are hungry there. Don’t post on social media where you are.”
