The Ministry of Labor has recently reported that a total of 626 expatriates were arrested in the Muscat Governorate last February for various violations.

Out of this number, 391 of them were deported to their respective countries for their offenses.

Upon investigation, it was found that 68 of these individuals were found to be working with a different employer, which was a direct violation of their work permits.

Meanwhile, 214 of them had left their employers without proper documentation or approval, which was also a breach of labor laws.

Lastly, 109 of them were booked for various offenses, such as working in a different profession without proper clearance or engaging in unauthorised activities.

The Ministry of Labor has been strictly enforcing labor laws and regulations in the country to ensure the protection of expatriate workers and their rights.

They have been conducting regular inspections and crackdowns on companies and establishments that violate these laws.

This recent development serves as a warning to all foreign workers to abide by the rules and regulations set by the government.

Failure to comply with these laws can lead to severe consequences, including deportation and blacklisting. The Ministry of Labor reminds everyone to be responsible and law-abiding individuals while working in the Sultanate.
