Qatar has called on people in the country to look out for and report sightings of the Shawwal crescent moon on Saturday.
The Crescent Sighting Committee at the Ministry of Endowments and Islamic Affairs has called on all Muslims living in Qatar to sight the crescent of Shawwal on Saturday evening, Ramadan 29, 1446 AH, corresponding to March 29, 2025.
The sighting of the moon will mean the end of Ramadan 2025 and the start of the Eid Al Fitr holiday.

The committee said that whoever witnesses the crescent should head to the committee’s headquarters at the Ministry of Endowments and Islamic Affairs in Al Dafna (Towers) area to report their testimony.
The committee will meet immediately after the Maghrib prayer on the same day.
