The UAE has announced paid holidays for Eid Al Adha for both the public and private sector.
The UAE revealed the dates for the break following a decision by the Cabinet. It said Eid Al Adha will be:
- Arafat Day: Dhu Al Hijjah 9, corresponding to June 15
- Eid Al Adha 2024: Dhu Al Hijjah 10 to 12, corresponding to June 16, 17, 18
The dates were officially announced on June 8 by the Ministry of Human Resources and Emiratisation (MoHRE) and the UAE Federal Authority For Government Human Resources (FAHR).
We announce that 9 to 12 Dhu al Hijjah 1445 AH (15 June to 18 June) will be an official paid holiday for private sector employees in celebration of Day of Arafah and Eid Al Adha.

Commonly known as the Feast of Sacrifice, this period is one of the holiest in the Islamic calendar. Special prayers, feasts and charity acts are observed.
