UAE Police will be able to monitor criminals from the sky after launching a robot drone.
RAS Al Khaimah Police announced the launch of the new high-tech crime-fighting equipment in a social media post on Thursday.
The drone, unveiled by General Ali Abdullah bin Alwan Al Nuaimi, Commander-in-Chief of Ras Al Khaimah Police, will be used to locate and observe criminal suspects from in the air.

A built-in high-resolution camera will be utilised to take quality video and photographs of crime scenes and even track suspects.
The high-tech drone also has an integrated weather station, with built-in humidity, heat and vibration sensors.
Built-in GPS and a wide-angle lens make it ideal for surveillance.
Al Nuaimi said the drone was introduced in line with the UAE Ministry of Interior’s goal of keeping up with technical and technological developments and the improvement of the service levels provided by the Operations Department.
He said the use of a drone reflects the ongoing leadership efforts to acquire modern equipment, which contributes to the security of the Emirates.
