Firms hired to build Falconcity pyramids project

Companies appointed to design and supervise key components in Dubai mega project

Falconcity of Wonders, the Dubai mega-project, has announced the appointment of two companies to design and supervise two key components.

Arab Experts Engineering Consultants (AREX) has been hired to work on the Small Pyramid while Eng Adnan Saffarini Office (EAS) will work on the Medium Pyramid.

The pyramids are two of three pyramids which will be built at the Falconcity of Wonders and will be part of a multi-functional complex which will feature luxury apartments, a large hotel, office space and residential luxury units.

Salem Al Moosa, chairman and CEO of Falconcity, said: “We are pleased to announce the appointment of AREX to design and supervise the Small Pyramid. Together we are confident that we can successfully bring Falconcity of Wonders to life, as a living architectural wonder.”

He added: “With EAS, we can now rebuild the glorious past, with modern architectural wonders that the present generation can experience and witness. Much like the ancient Pharaohs who were making a concrete statement about power, glory and strength, we are building in Dubai a truly famous landmark with the Medium Pyramid at Falconcity of Wonders.”

AREX will also design and supervise a multi-purpose event hall located within the Small Pyramid site, which will be used for events such as weddings, conferences, and theatre productions.

Yousuf Al Muhaideb, chairman of AREX, said: “We are dedicated to work with Falconcity of Wonders and we are honoured to accept their trust in our company. We look forward to making their vision a solid reality.”

Set out in the emirate’s desert landscape, the 40m sq ft development is set to feature life-size replicas of world landmarks such as the Eiffel Tower, Taj Mahal and the Great Pyramids, as well as districts modelled around cities including London, Venice and Beirut.
