Mekar, the Italian manufacture of air handling units (AHU) and fan coil units (FCU) has opened its regional office and warehousing facility in the UAE. The brand has been installed in projects including Burj Dubai, Burj Al Arab and Dubai Mall.
Giuseppe Boaro, president of Mekar, made the announcement at the Big 5, where the company is displaying its wide range of air conditioning equipment. Boaro said: “This move is essential due to the growing demand for Mekar airside equipments and its increasing popularity for iconic projects.
“We are setting up our own central warehousing and distribution facility in the UAE to meet our clients’ mounting requirements and at the same time provide efficient support to our distributors in the region. Mekar has plans to increase its market penetration in Qatar, Bahrain and Kuwait.”
Reiterating the business philosophy of Mekar, Boaro stated: “We stand by quality and deliver what we promise. This philosophy has paid us rich dividends over the years and is evidenced by the fact that Mekar has developed a strong client portfolio and these clients have been consistently doing business with us.”
