Al Naboodah Engineering Services has picked up the infrastructure works contract for the initial phase of Al Barari, a US $1.8 billion (AED6.6 billion) residential development in Nad Al Sheba, Dubai.
The contract involves the construction of roads, a high-voltage electrical network, irrigation, drainage and sewage networks, as well as waterways and lakes for the project, which is being developed by Al Barari Development Company.
“We regard ourselves more as a partner in this project rather than a supplier, as the Al Barari development promises to change the face of the property landscape in Dubai,” said Matar Al Naboodah, group managing director, Al Naboodah Engineering.
Al Bariri will be divided into 30 clusters that will form the shape of a tree. “There are many unique elements to the project which set us apart from other property developments in the UAE,” said Zaal Mohammad Zaal, chairman of Al Barari Development Company.
