Entrepreneur and philanthropist Tony Robbins is working with the UAE’s government to feed one billion people around the world as part of a personal humanitarian project, he announced at the World Government Summit in Dubai on Sunday.

Speaking at the event, Robbins noted that the cost of food has dropped 30-fold over the last several decades, human lifespan has risen by between 10 and 15 years, and over a billion people have been lifted out of poverty.

“What we’ve done is exciting,” he said. “What’s to come is even more so.”

Recently, Robbins’ foundation reached a milestone of 400 million meals delivered to families throughout the United States. He now hopes to feed one billion people sustainably around the world.

“Our job as leaders is to take the worst days for the people we lead and find the deeper meaner to move them forward and transform them into the best,” he said.

Robbins added that the best leaders must direct a vision for progress, provide a focused agenda, create certainty among others and transition from passive discussion and knowledge sharing to action.
