The UAE’s Ministry of Energy announced a slight decrease in fuel prices for March.
The price of Special 95, the most popular brand of petrol in the UAE had dropped to AED2.22, down from AED2.25.
Super 98 will be AED2.33 per litre, down from AED2.36, while diesel will drop to AED2.43, down from AED2.49.
All prices are inclusive of value-added tax.
In July 2015, the UAE’s Ministry of Energy announced removal of subsidy on petrol and diesel prices, with market-linked prices starting from August 1, 2015.
The price increase reflects the rising global benchmark of crude oil, which is currently trading at $64 per barrel.
