ADNOC Distribution has opened its first service station in Dubai, a solar-powered operation located in Dubai Investment Park.

The new station features six islands offering all fuel options, as well as a Géant Express convenience store, an Oasis Café, ADNOC Lube services, and free Wi-Fi. Fast food giants McDonalds and KFC will open outlets in the coming weeks.

The new site also offers a fast-electric charger for electric vehicles that will recharge a car up to 80% in 20 minutes.

The opening of a station in Dubai means the UAE’s largest fuel and convenience retailer now has service stations in all seven emirates.

ADNOC Distribution will roll out its Flex service across Dubai in the coming months following an initial free trial period which will enable customers to familiarise themselves with the fuelling choices.

Commenting on the station opening, ADNOC Distribution acting CEO Saeed Al Rashdi said: “At the time of our IPO in December 2017, we committed to expand our service station footprint into Saudi Arabia and Dubai before the end of 2018. As promised, these initiatives have been delivered, with further network growth to come in 2019.”
